With a bit of effort and some digging, restoring a leaning fence can be an effortless task! Typically, this requires adding concrete to the base of the fence post – the end result being an upright and supported fence.
Follow this Process for Rectifying a Tending Fence
1. To figure out why the post is listing, take a good look at it. It is feasible that the post was not placed correctly when first erected. If this proves to be the case, you may need to break the post down and try again.
If the post has been pushed off its original footing by changing soil conditions, you’ll need to unearth a hole next to the fence post. The hole should go down approximately 2 feet.
Once a recess has been excavated, blend together some concrete and pour it into the cavity.
Ensure the fence post is vertical by utilizing a level. If necessary, add more cement to the cavity for extra secureness.
Wait a few hours to let the concrete settle in the hole before you fill it up with backfill.
Once you’ve applied the aforementioned techniques, you can rest assured knowing your fence is recharged and radiant!
