Fede Alvarez’s 2016 American horror movie, Don’t Breathe, stars Jane Levy, Dylan Minnette, Daniel Zovatto, and Stephen Lang. An unsuspecting group of friends concoct a plan to break into the house of a wealthy blind man, dreaming of the perfect heist. However, when they begin their robbery caper, things quickly take a turn for the worse upon realizing the homeowner is a serial killer – What was originally seen as a clean-cut robbery turns into a nightmarish scene that none of them will ever be able to forget.

The acclaimed movie was helmed by the effort of the dynamic trio of Sam Raimi, Robert Tapert, and Josh Donen. It finally made its way to theaters, a project of Screen Gems, on August 26th, 2016.

The movie earned an impressive $151 million globally, far exceeding its meager price tag of $9.99 million, and was met with tremendous acclaim. Viewers raved about the creative direction, skilled writing, outstanding performances, and heightened suspense.

Alex (Olivia Taylor Dudley) made a narrow escape from a masked man wielding a knife; she was later seen being consoled by none other than her father, Robert (Stephen Lang), who was the cloaked figure in pursuit.

Rocky, Money, and Dylan, three bold young delinquents from the Detroit streets, had their sights set on Paul’s affluent abode – a wealthy blind man whom they were sure kept a stack of cash in his residence. The motley trio plotted the perfect scheme to infiltrate his home in an attempt to gain enough riches to flee the city.

Rocky was not keen on risking her unborn child in the heist, but Dylan pressured her to accompany them into Paul’s abode.

Emerging from the depths of the dank labyrinth, the burglars were met with a most peculiar fate – the unfortunate soul who was cleverly camouflaged by the murky shadows was none other than Paul, a homicidal menace who has been ravaging the town with fear. In a matter of moments, Paul snatched up the unsuspecting trio and commenced his merciless torture.

As law enforcement conducted inquiries into the horrifying sequence of murders that Paul had perpetuated, they uncovered a past misfortune: an automobile mishap had claimed the life of his wife and Paul had been utilizing her life insurance remuneration to sponsor his criminal transition.

After enduring Paul’s brutality, the thieves became aware that their own lives were at stake. Luckily for them, Rocky was able to shift the odds in their favor by vanquishing Paul instead. Freedom was theirs; in the end, they dispersed with haste, leaving the city behind them.
